I have been picking up my camera on and off since 2018, but the story really started way back when I was a kid. I grew up born and raised on Guam with roots in the beautiful island of Palau, where life moves a little slower and stories are passed through moments instead of words. I remember spending hours flipping through old family photo albums, completely mesmerized by the way a single picture could hold an entire memory still. Even then, I loved taking photos of everyone around me, but I absolutely refused to be in front of the camera myself. Some things never change.
As I got older, photography became this on again, off again love, something I always found my way back to no matter where life took me. During those in between phases, I earned my degree in Public Health and built a life with my wonderful husband and our dog, who is hands down the funniest guy I know (my dog is but my husband is a close second). Somewhere along the way, I also learned that anything and everything can be funny if you let it, which has become a very helpful mindset during awkward photo moments. At my core, I am a laid back and unserious person who likes to flow with whatever the day brings. The easier life feels, the happier I am, and that relaxed energy always finds its way into the sessions I photograph.
Somewhere along the way, photography shifted from a hobby to something much more meaningful. It became a way for me to honor people’s stories the same way I treasured the ones in those childhood albums. I realized that what I love most is capturing moments that feel real, warm, and a little chaotic, the kind that make you smile years later because you remember exactly how it felt. And because I am me, fun facts always sneak into the picture. I LOVE Star Wars, I drink so much matcha that I probably bleed it, I devour mystery and thriller books like snacks, and I am absolutely terrified of geckos. Please don’t test this.
Now, every session I shoot feels like adding a new chapter to a story, yours and mine. I show up ready to laugh, ready to create, and ready to chase good light with people who value honest and meaningful memories. And if we share a joke or two along the way, that makes it even better. Thank you for being here, for supporting this part of my journey, and for trusting me with pieces of your own..
Hi, I’m your photographer!
Yours truly, Reisa
Working with me.
My vision for every session is pretty simple. I want you to show up, relax, and just be your wonderfully chaotic, loving, goofy selves while I follow along and capture the magic that happens when no one is trying too hard. My goal is to catch the little things, like the way you laugh when someone cracks a joke or the tiny moments of sweetness that happen when you forget the camera is even there.
I keep things laid back and fun, letting the session flow naturally so nothing ever feels forced or overly posed. If someone trips, laughs too loud, or makes a silly face, even better, because those are the moments that make your photos feel like you. By the end, I want you to leave thinking that you just hung out, had a good time, and somehow ended up with photos that feel honest and full of heart.
What to expect.
You can expect gentle posing guidance throughout your session so you never feel unsure about what to do or where to stand. I focus on natural movements and prompts that help you relax and interact with each other in a way that feels real and effortless.
Before your session, I will help you with outfit coordination and styling so your colors, textures, and overall look come together beautifully. I will share tips on what photographs well, what to avoid, and how to keep everyone comfortable and confident. My goal is to make the entire process easy, fun, and stress free while helping you look and feel your best.
